In a rush? Lately, I've been feeling like I'm always in a race against time and there's just no time allotted for me and my appearance. (Mind you, I'm also adjusting to being a new mom) These days, you're more likely to be starting your work day at home over your first cup of coffee, packing lunch or getting your kids ready for the day. But don't throw in the towel on looking good and feeling put together.
Here are some tips that can help you streamline your beauty routine and be ready to roll (or stroll for new mom's like me) in five minutes or less.
For everyone: Consider switching your shower to just before bed. A warm shower may help you sleep better, you'll wake up refreshed and have already saved yourself 15 minutes that morning.
For busy moms: Once your baby is down for the night (fingers crossed!), you'll have more time to soap up and shampoo (and maybe even shave). Plus, the warm water will relax you and prep you for (a few) hours of uninterrupted sleep.
For busy ladies: Minimize the morning rush by cutting down your makeup routine. A good-quality concealer or foundation is a must. Don't forget to add some color, but keep it simple. Keep a travel make up kit with you in the car or in your bag.
For everyone: Another good time saver is to keep a hair brush on you so you can smooth out fly aways throughout the day and keep that polished look.
For everyone: You might not have time for a full-blown manicure but do keep your nails cut short and smoothly filed. Apply a clear coat of polish every couple of days. It's all about the details!
